Food Vendors

Township Paperwork and payments

  • Paperwork and payment need to be submitted at least 6weeks prior to scheduled event. To avoid processing delays please note that your completed application for food vendors must include the following:
  • Your $75 payment for a temporary food permit payable to Franklin Township
  • Your completed Temporary Food Permit application which can be obtained from Somerset County Department of Health Temporary Food Permit Application
  • Franklin Township fire prevention paperwork and payment
  • Permit cost $85 check must be made out to Franklin Township and mailed in with all other township paperwork.

Snyder’s Farm requires

  • A photo of your booth display or food truck via email to info@snyders-farm.com

  • Snyder’s Farm vendor form filled out and returned to info@snyders-farm.com

  • CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE

All Vendors are required to submit a current and valid Certificate of Insurance. A certificate of insurance naming Snyder’s Farm LLC & Rajos Holdings LLC, 586 S. Middlebush Rd. Somerset NJ 08873, as additionally insured and must be received at time of event payment.

Food Vendor pricing is a flat $175 per day payable to Snyder’s Farm

A check can be made out to Snyder’s Farm, or we can send you an invoice through PayPal for a secure credit card payment. (a small transaction fee for credit cards will apply) Checks can be sent to Snyder’s Farm 586 Middlebush rd. Somerset, NJ 08873

Payment must be made to secure your spot – If we need to cancel an event due to weather, Snyder’s Farm will return your farm vending payment. We do not return payments that were payable to our township.

INSPECTIONS – Fire & Health Dept.

All applicants must agree to an inspection by the Franklin Township Department of Fire Prevention.

  • Upon request, food vendor must show flammability certificate or manufacturer’s tag indicating flame retardant materials if using a tent. Documentation must be available at all times during the event (NFPA 701: Standard Methods of Fire Tests for Flame Propagation of Textiles and Films compliance)
  • Inspections will be conducted by the Somerset County Health Department and the Franklin Township Office of Fire Prevention

TEMPORARY FOOD LICENSE

  • A Somerset County Department of Health, Temporary Food Establishment Permit, is required by all food vendors which can be obtained from Somerset County Department of Health Temporary Food Permit Application
  • By submitting this application, you agree to an inspection by the Somerset County Department of Health at our location
  • Each Temporary Food Establishment Permit is subject to a separate $75.00 fee made payable to Franklin Township Clerk’s Office. The check must be sent no later than 6 weeks prior to event and made out to the Township of Franklin

PAYMENT

Completed paperwork and payments should be returned no later than 1 month prior to event. Incomplete applications will not be accepted, and space will not be secured until payment is received. Method of payment accepted includes check and money order only. Franklin township is unable to accept credit cards at this time. Paperwork and payment should be mailed to: Clerks office 475 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873.

SETUP

  • Food vendors must be ready for inspection by time they specified on their paperwork
  • Vendors area must be staffed during the entire time that the event is open to the public. The Vendor is responsible for supplying all elements needed for their operation, including cooking equipment, generator, propane, tents, lighting. Banners and signs must look professional.
